Court Availability

• Only play from 10am to 5.30pm on scheduled days

• You must be off site by 5.45, not just off the lawns

• Club day is Tuesday

• Play is not allowed on Saturdays in school holidays or Bank Holidays

• Show your Club membership card when arriving at the visitor centre. If you do not have it the staff can check a membership list

• If you are the first to arrive, sign out the key for the icehouse

• No visitors can play

At the start of a Session

• Setting up and taking down lawns is everyone’s responsibility. Please help as far as your physical ability allows

• Use the balls on the trolleys. These are changed between primary and secondary balls monthly

• Enter your attendance in the diary in the barrow

• If you need to set up a court, set it up fully according to the rules and using the correct colour coded trolley for the lawn

• For prospective members there is one free session on a taster day, and a second by arrangement

During the Session

• Be aware of the public, particularly children, and caution them (or their guardian) if they sit or stand where they might be at risk from a planned stroke

• If you observe any injury, or abusive behaviour, report this to a committee member immediately, at the time in person, or by phone or SMS text

At the end of a Session

• Sanitising hands is optional

• If you leave early check whether any equipment is no longer required and put it away

• If you are the last to use the court, raise the hoops using the lifting tool, wind the rope onto the reel. Place the balls, hoops, reels and centre post on the trolley and return it to the icehouse

• When putting away the equipment, wipe it with the towel provided. Be aware that wet equipment will not dry in the icehouse

• Return the key to the visitor centre. The person who signs it out is responsible for its return

• There is a spare key at the visitor centre. This is ONLY to be used when the other key in inadvertently locked in the icehouse.
